I recently thrashed a phalaenopsis orchid because of scale infestation but should have kept it and used a systemic insecticide instead. What was unusual about this plant, was that it's flower stalks all pointed toward the plant, whereas most stalks on phals point away. Does anyone know the botanical/technical term for this, and how unusual is this stalk configuration?
It was light purple, medium large flowers and very nice deep purple veins. Now that I don't have it, I'd like it back.......can anyone tell me where i could buy one like it?
Is this an unusual Phalaenopsis orchid?
You can buy one like yours in Brazil , look for Flora Takanashi
in EugĂȘnio de Melo city.

Reply:Go to www.orchidmall.com. If it's not for sale there, it probably doesn't exist!
BTW, I've been very satisfied with orchids from Exotic Orchids of Maui (dendrobiums and phaleahopsis).
