Orchids usually abort there buds (bud blast ) when there is a rapid change in the temperature of there current enviroment or maybe when there moved from one place to another and the two places have greatly differing temperatures.During bud blast an orchids bud turns yellow and falls off.Keep your orchid in an environment where the temperatures are stable.
I hope I could be of help to you.
How do you stop an orchid from aborting its buds?
also dont over fertilize
Reply:Play a jazz radio station, near it. Breath your breath on it.
Put it in a warmer climate, if its to cold plants retrieve.
Reply:Funny you should ask.
Two days ago, I.... (through my work)....had 18 enormous orchids (in pots) donated to me to use as I see fit. Although they're not in flower now, they're the most gorgeous specimens I have ever seen and I can't wait to see them in bloom.
Currently, I'm a novice on orchid's temperaments and requirements and this question means gobbledegook to me - even on Google, I can't find what you're talking about.
Rest assured, I'll find out the answer to this and many other questions I have about their successful maintenance.
Good luck.
