I believe the answer is yes! Since orchids come from a very large family, you can expect them to also have a lot of different types. Having one in your home won't bother you at all as orchids do not need a lot of effort just to take care of them. However, just like any other flowers, orchid flowers also need some attention. In fact, I know a lot of people who collect orchids and what's interesting is that they take time to talk to their orchid flowers while spraying or watering them for believing that they produce more lovely flowers than those that are neglected. I somehow agree because that's exactly what my grandpa used to do to his treasured orchids. He made sure to spend some time in the morning to check up on his orchid flowers if they infested with pests or insects and I'm sure his orchids almost never ran out blossoms. If you are one of those people who know what flowers can do to both your home and you, then can't deny the fact that orchids provide a relaxing, pleasurable, and welcoming feeling, especially if you're looking into budding orchid flowers. A regular person may not be able to familiarize the different kinds of orchids due to its huge varieties. There are actually more than 30, 000 different species of orchids. Normally they grow on trees, but don't think that orchid flowers won't grow when not mounted on a tree. Contrary to what many believe, orchids are very adaptable plant life.

Is it really worth the work to have orchid flowers?
they're a lot of work, but they're very different from other flowers. so if you like them, then yes.
Reply:Yes Beyonce just had 100,000 rare orchids flown in for her wedding from Thailand the cost was 2 million dollars. Each one was hand picked by a person that made 2 cents a flower. 40,000 of the flowers were thrown out because they were not good enough and the people didnt get paid.
It makes you wonder how many people that dont even have running water could have been helped.
Reply:Yes it is, they are beautiful. and more plants on the world the better, instead of concrete, tar, and large buildings.
Reply:Depends on how much you like them.
Reply:Surprising enough a lot of orchids are not that fussy or demanding. Most important the right medium, light ,water and regular fertilizer. Bam , they are beauties. .....Start with a healthy plant and check out sites on line. Well worth it. Good Luck.
Reply:I just bought my first orchid and only because it was in the clearance area...its so far been suprisingly easy to care for..it hasnt flowered but it hasnt died at all and Ive had it for about 3 months and its actually getting bigger
Reply:They are no 'harder' to take care of than ordinary houseplants. The only real difference is that you must use orchid potting medium rather than soil when repotting or dividing.
See source for information on how to grow orchids in your home.
