Generally, the right is single, the left is taken, and if you place it on the top of your head it means, you are divorced and desperate! heh. (Just a joke that used to get performed at a hula recital back home in Hawaii.) In Hawaii, just about every girl has a flower in her hair.
Which side should a girl place an orchid flower if she is single or if she is taken?
If a girl is single it is then placed on the right side of her body...If she is taken or married then it is placed on her left... Traditionally as if you would a marriage ring on your left hand ring finger
