The leaves on my orchid are hanging limp down the side of the pot,,what could be wrong?

The leaves on my orchid are hanging limp down the side of the pot,,what could be wrong?
When I was in Hawaii and bought my orchid they said to keep it from being in to much water and also make sure it isnt planted in dirt. Orchids grow better in bark. I had one that was limp, and I repotted it in bark and it is starting to become more firm.
Reply:I will assume that the leaves are a nice green color so you don't have to worry and enjoy the new blooming flower...just rotate your orchid pot maybe it got too much sun/heat exposure and got a little dry so water/fertilize as usual
Reply:Depends what type of orchid you have. There are thousands. Some varieties naturally droop down. If it's a type that does not, it may be dying from overwatering and / or rotting, or damage from cold if it's a tropical species. If you could supply a picture of it, might be able to advise better... (Or just add what the name of the plant is if it has a label with it)
