Both are memory flowers.
Would you rather be an ORCHID or a POPPY?
I would be a garden full of them both
Reply:orchid, they are beautiful
Reply:do you know what the poppy flower is used for. drugs. however the orchid is most beautiful. the orchid.
Reply:I'd be a poppy - unpretentious, bright, dancing in a breeze, and prolific, even within minimal care and attention.
Reply:I'd be lavender, that one is supposed to bring back good memories..
Reply:I love tulips best, but you gave two choices. Definitely a poppy. Fields %26amp; fields of poppies here in California are absolutely joyous! (Hello? Hard drugs? That's a different kind of poppy!) Orchids are rather stiff %26amp; pompous, I think. Not me at all. Poppies are hearty %26amp; grow abundantly. HAPPY flowers not arrogantly standing in a vase. (It's illegal to pick them here anyway, %26amp; I'd rather see flowers growing free.)
Reply:I would be an orchid because when I see them it gives me a sense of peace and wisdom.
Reply:They are. But I go with the Poppy. So much mystery that dates back into history. Plus the Wizard of Oz and that huge field of poppies.......sleepy, sleepy......
Reply:An orchid, I wouldn't want to carry the seeds that many hard drugs are made from and ruin so many lives.
Reply:Orchid. I have never seen a pretty girl wearing a Poppy.
Reply:Poppy so that people could get high off me. Also because of it's connection to Flanders.
Reply:Orchid. I wouldn't want to grow up in Afghanistan!
Reply:Once a friend took me out to see the Muir Woods in California, They were beautiful. As he pointed out the tall and stately trees, I told him that I had seen them from a long way off. I then pointed out to him the delicate tiny wood orchids that grew among the roots of those great trees, their stems laden with the most exquisite flowers, ghostly white with just a touch of yellow marking their throats. I would rather be one of these, the memory still lingers fragrant and fragiie. I have also seen the fields of Flanders between Ieper and Poperinge where the poppies grow, their very transient glory in little red wildflowers which easily break and blow about. not at all the large flowers of our gardens, perennials with heavy seed pods. Those memories are short and sad, the history of man's inhumanity. We need those, too, lest we forget.
Reply:Orchids are my favorite flowers!
Reply:They both demand and thrive on co-dependancy. The poppy creates it through physiological means, whereas the orchid demands it through it's delicate beauty that needs delicate attention and creates it through its beauty. I would be an Orchid.
Reply:Orchids are sexy....yeah....
Reply:i aspire to be an orchid but, alas i am only a daisy!!!
Reply:I'll be an orchid on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and a poppy on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ... and I'll be a lily of the valley on Sundays ... I guess I'm just a 'weird bouquet' after all!
Reply:I'd rather be an orchid for two reasons.
1.I dislike poppy's. 2.Orchids look better.
Reply:Orchid......exotic!!!
Reply:Poppy, orchids are such high maintenance
Reply:a tulip.
Reply:I'll take Poppy, thank you. That way I can still have the memories. They will just a brighter aura around them:)
Reply:orchid!
