Orchid food or fertilizers are primarily made up of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) plus trace elements like boron, manganese, iron, zinc, etc. All are beneficial to the orchid. Depending on the stage growth of the orchid, you may need to apply varying ratios of the NPK. Young orchids or those in the active stage of growth need more Nitrogen. Mature plants may require a maintenance of an even ratio of NPK. For those in the blooming stage use a bloom booster. Fertilizer manufacturers normally label them in their packaging. Then there root and plant hormones that can stimulate root growth. Avoid over fertilizing and always follow instructions on the label.
Chemical fertilizers tend act much faster that organic ones but they can harmful to the environment.
Also make sure you apply them correctly, some fetilizers are applied on the leaves, while most are applied directly to the roots or the growing media.
What is the chemical composition of orchid food?
you have too many qwestions....why ask?
