How long can an Orchid plan lives?
Orchids are one of the oldest plants found on earth. Believe it or not, your orchid could end up with your great-great-grandchildren or beyond! As mentioned above by Susi, orchids can live virtually "forever." Really amazing.

Especially the cattleya family of orchids, if properly taken care of, can live virtually 'forever'.
The plants will continue to produce front leads with new root systems even when the older pseudobulbs shrivel up.
Reply:a good orchid may live for decades... I got one that is over 30 yrs. old.
